Melvina Lou Barton

Graveside Services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Sunday January 22, 2017 at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery for Martha Melvina Lou Barton aka “Mickey”, age 72, of Dahlonega, GA. The Rev. Tim Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Barton passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2017. 

Martha was born in Gainesville, GA to the late Merdie Pernanual and Lizzie Lizina Boggus Chambers.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Leon Barton and several brothers and sisters.

Martha is survived by her son, Calvin Leon Barton, Dahlonega, GA; daughters, Martha Melissa Gail DeHart, Dahlonega, GA, Teresa Lynn Hernandez, Dahlonega, GA, Tammy Sabrina Slaughter, Carnesville, GA, Tina Renee Mroczka, Dahlonega, GA; brothers, Sammie Chambers, Monroe Chambers, Johnny Chambers; sister, Mary Ellen Youngblood; grandchildren, Derrick Alvarez, Tyler Mroczka, Austin Mroczka, Savannah Mroczka, Matthew Mroczka, Kimberly Slaughter, Dustin Slaughter; and great-grandsons, Caleb Wade and Landon Frankin.  Numerous other relatives also survive.
