Charles David Pearson

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Charles David Pearson, Sr., age 68 of Athens, Georgia (South Jackson Community), who entered into rest Thursday, January 12, 2017.  Mr. Pearson was born in Athens, Georgia a son of the late Robert D. and Thelma Louise Roberts Pearson and was retired from Bi-Lo Grocery Stores.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Pearson is preceded by a daughter, Laura Louise Anderson, sister, Mary Ann Bond and a brother Wayne Pearson.

Survivors include Mr. Pearson’s wife, Shirley Perry Pearson of Athens, son, Charles David Pearson, Jr. of Athens, daughter, Ann Evans of Athens, brothers, James Ray Pearson of Athens, Billy Thomas Pearson of North Carolina. Step-Children, Sheila Jordan of Loganville and Tony Shepherd of Grovetown, numerous grand and great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 16, 2017 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home, William Puckett officiating, with burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens, Georgia.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Jimmy Nash, Andy Reid, Alex Harley, Tony Shepherd, Charles Pearson, Robert Cotton and Wade Dawson.  The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
