Dianne Donnarumma

Obituary Date: Tuesday, January 10, 2017

Dianne Donnarumma, 59, of Alpharetta, GA died January 10, 2017. She was born in Long Island, NY, to Katherine and Carmine Donnarumma.  She attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Elementary school and later attended Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township, NJ.   She went on to receive her BA from University of Rhode Island and her Masters from University of Rochester.

In 1997, Dianne chose to share her love and expand the family by adopting her very beloved daughter Leah Donnarumma, who survives her and to whom Dianne was devoted.

Dianne’s family was very important to her, and she was the frequent “go to” Aunt for fun, games, and hugs during annual family vacations and get-togethers at the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey.  Her home and office walls and table tops were filled with pictures of her family and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her daughter, Leah, Dianne leaves her beloved mother Katherine Donnarumma, her sisters Marie and spouse, Joe Nezi; Barbara and spouse Gary Dagastine; Joanne and spouse Ron Ritter and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father Carmine Donnarumma.

Dianne was employed by Siemens Corporation since 2001 in various Human Resource management roles, where she was highly regarded by her many friends and colleagues.    She was previously employed by Xerox Corporation.

Dianne was known for her kind heart, engaging sense of humor, and her selfless involvement in community activities.  She was passionately committed to her volunteer efforts including her work at Northpoint Community Church with the youth and children’s ministries, donating her time to the Ronald McDonald house, and volunteering with Leah for a Women and Children’s crisis hotline.  In addition, through Siemens, she was an active champion supporting the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides against Breast Cancer program.

Funeral services are open to all who wish to attend and will be held at North Point Community Church 4350 North Point Parkway; Alpharetta, GA.  A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 12:00p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dianne’s memory to the following:
