Patsy Nell Higgins Ordner

Patsy Nell Higgins Ordner, age 87, of Alto, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2017 following a sudden illness.

Mrs. Ordner was born on January 30, 1929 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Inez Mason Higgins; husband, Virgil Lee Ordner; daughter-in-law, Sandra Ordner; granddaughter, Brooks Ordner; two brothers; and two sisters. Mrs. Ordner attended several area churches including Alto C.H. Church. In her early years she accepted the Lord at Hapeville United Methodist Church and attended there for 30 years. She was a beautician throughout her career, most notably at Hall’s Beauty Shop in Hapeville, Georgia. Mrs. Ordner was noted for her love of cooking for family and friends. She always maintained a very positive attitude and above all she had a deep love for the Lord.

Survivors include her son, Paul W. Ordner, of Atlanta; sons and daughters-in-law, David Allen and Lisa Ordner, of Duluth; Donald Lee and Scarlett Ordner, of Norcross; brother, Tommy Higgins, of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Caroline Douglas, Jeff D. Ordner, Paul Ordner, Jr., Vivian Ordner, James Ordner, Benjamin Ordner; great-grandchildren, Jackson Douglas, Taylor Douglas, Grant Douglas, and Charlie Douglas.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Alto C.H. Church with Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the church.
