Obituary Date: Tuesday, January 3, 2017

Charles Hunt Eldred died Tuesday, January 3, 2017.    Family and friends are feeling an incredible loss for an incredible man.    The service will be held at Cedaridge, 10889 Arkansas Highway 72 W, Centerton, AR 72719 on January 14th , 1:00 p.m.

Charlie is survived by his mother, Donna Hunt, of Dawsonville, GA; and his parents, Wayne and Sandy Eldred of Marco Island, FL; his children include Kalen Eldred  of Phoenix, AZ;  Charis Eldred of Little Rock,  AR;  and their mother Kristi Rogers of Bentonville, AR.  In addition, he is survived by children Emery and Leyton Eldred and their mother Jessica Eldred Betts of Bentonville, AR.    Surviving  siblings  include Kyle Eldred  of Southlake, TX;  Larry Krisman and wife Susie of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Tammy Martin and husband Bob of  Dawsonville, GA;  Susan Marr and husband Bill of  Rogers,  AR;  and Kelly Best of Marco Island, FL.   Many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins are also included in this large and loving family.

Charlie lived a full albeit shortened life.  His many interests included his love for family, friends, adventure, sports and business.  He grew up in Overland Park, Kansas attending elementary, junior high and high school.  He attended Kansas State University and he eventually joined the Marines.  Charles was based in Okinawa Japan, Twentynine Palms, California and Camp Lejeune in North Carolina while in the Marines.   Charlie married his high school sweetheart and they had two children while traveling in the service.

After the Marines, Charles returned to the Midwest specifically, Bentonville, AR to begin a robust sales career.  He represented multiple manufacturers, selling primarily to Sam’s and Walmart.   He grew a successful business, leading his manufacturers and customers to extremely positive sales results.

Charlie grew his family and relationships far beyond most. His large capacity to love led him to a lovely remarriage and 2 more beautiful children.  He also engaged in a philanthropic church life.  He joined many bible classes and participated in a very outward relationship with the Lord. Charlie attended Grace Point Church in Bentonville, AR.

Charlie enjoyed the outdoors as well as the friendly lifestyle in Bentonville.  His infectious smile and “let’s do it” attitude was contagious and family and friends will always hold life-long memories.  His acreage of land around his home allowed for horses, and various animals.   He loved Beaver Lake and the boating, swimming, sking, canoeing, fishing and hunting that the area allowed.   Charlie involved himself in all sports.   It was sharing the experience that he enjoyed versus the performance. For this, Charlie will be most remembered.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Celebrate Recovery, Rogers, AR.   http://www.fellowshipnwa.org/giving
