Ann Sutton Hill

Ann Sutton Hill, age 67, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hill was born on October 1, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James and Mozelle Sutton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Michael Hill. Mrs. Hill was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church. She was a very dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Ann enjoyed fishing with her husband and grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed canning from her husband, Larry’s garden. Ann was known in her community for her baking, especially her fruit cakes. She also enjoyed making blankets for friends and relatives.

Survivors include her daughter and fiancé, Brandi Hill and David Thompson, Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Leah Hill, Demorest; grandchildren: Coleman Michael Hill, Alexander Warren Hill, Ethan James Tomlin, and Luke Joseph Moore; and a number of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Clarkesville Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Walden and Rev. David Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
