Mark Simon

Mr. Mark T. Simon, age 66, of Winder suddenly passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2017 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Father Eric Hill will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017 and 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Simon was born September 20, 1950 to the late Thomas Acklam and Dorothy Gigl Simon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and an Executive Vice President for Aramark.  Mr. Simon was preceded in death by his first wife, June Simon.

Mr. Simon is survived by his wife of 8 ½ years, Vicki Simon of Winder; sons & daughters-in-law, Zachary & Sarah Simon of Dacula and Harrison & Andrea Medina Simon of Suwanee; grandchildren, Logan Simon, Alana Simon and Korbin Simon; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jeff & Cheryl Simon, Chris & Terri Simon and John & Lisa Simon; sisters & brothers-in-law, Beth & Brian Depowski, Cindy & Mark Mathis, and Anne & Ken Broederdorf; brother-in-law, Loren & Karen Thompson; mother-in-law, Mary Thompson; and several nieces & nephews.
