Edna Major Leach Carswell

Mrs. Edna Major Leach Carswell passed away January 7, 2017 at her home in Eastanollee, Ga.  Mrs. Carswell was born September 12, 1921 in Sanford, Florida to Demes and Lucille Hodge Major.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step mother, Carey Chatham Major, her husband, Frank Carswell, her two sons, Howard Leach and Royce Leach, her sisters and brothers, Shirley Major Bush, Florence Major Ullmer   James Major, Roy Major, Myrtle Major Keys and Judy Major Foxworth.  One grand daughter and 2 great grand sons.
 
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Leach Reynolds, Eastanollee, Ga., Shirley Leach Mosler and Robert Mosler of Sanford, Florida.  Her sons Benny and Gayle Leach, Buford, Ga., Ray and Pat Leach of Flowery Branch, Ga., 15 grand children, 20 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren, brothers, Everett Major and Joe Major of Dacula, Ga., sisters, Annette Major Hightower of Cumming, Ga., Etheleen Major Allen and Rosco Allen of Cumming, Ga.  She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Tommy Carswell of Toccoa, Ga. and sisters-in-law, Marie Carswell of Toccoa, Ga. and Doris Carswell of Richmond, Virginia. A number nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. 
 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, 1:00 P.M., at The Hillcrest Chapel of The Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ralph Goss officiating. 
 
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Cane Pass, Ricky Carswell, Tommy Carswell, Josh Carswell, Jared Carswell, and Jonah Smith.
 
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.
