James Lester Hart, Sr

Mr. James Lester Hart, Sr., age 81, of Commerce died Thursday, January 5, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital.  Mr. Hart was born in Elberton to the late, Jack and Katie Bell Haley Hart.  Mr. Hart was retired from Seaboard Farms as a maintenance superintendent and he was a member of Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hart was also preceded in death by his sister, Annie Ree Phillips and his brother, Jerry Hart.

Mr. Hart is survived by his wife, Brenda Iler Hart of Commerce; sons, James Randy Hart (Shirl) of Commerce, Jackie Robert “Bobby” Hart (Vicki) of Danielsville, and James Lester Hart, Jr. (Carolina) of Buford; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brothers, Perry Hart of Cannon, Barney Hart of Hartwell, and Jackie Hart of Sandy Cross; sisters, Bobbie Sue Bolemon of Danielsville, Mamie Lee Beard of Royston, Sara Voyles of Carnesville, Georgie Gabby of Royston, and Judy Pace of Nicholson.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan. 8^th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Osteen, Rev. Bert Synan, and Rev. Carlton Peters officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-3 PM.
