Mr. James Lawrence Haynes, age 75 of 198 Davis Avenue, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A son of the late Lester and Artis Cozette Bryant Haynes, he was born December 4, 1941 in Clyd, Texas. He was retired from the Navy and attended Trinity C.M.E Church.
Survivors include four daughters and son-in-law, Leah Haynes of the Home, Maria Calloway of Florida, Rebecca Brewer of Toccoa and Victoria and Charlie Romero of Colorado; two sons and daughter-in-law, James and Julie Haynes of Toccoa and Filbert Young of Colorado; grandchildren, Mercedes Haynes, Amber Cantrell, Kayla Oglesby, Gregory Haynes, Jacob Mehle, Michelle Haynes, Aaron Roberts, Jimmy Lee Roberts and Nevada Haynes; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one brother of Texas; two sisters of Texas; brother-in-law, Johnny Skipper; former wife, Elizabeth Dominic.
A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday.
