Dorothy Mae King Grier Peters

Obituary Date: Friday, December 30, 2016

Mrs. Dorothy Mae King Grier Peters age 80 of Gainesville passed away on Friday December 30, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness.

          Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday January 03, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Donnie Hicks will officiate the services. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 01, 2017 and Monday January 02, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Peters was born on June 22, 1936 in Habersham County to the late Garfield King and Maggie Dalton King. She was retired from Johnson and Johnson and was a member of Air Line Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Dillard Roger Grier, and Randall Garret Grier, and father of her children, Dillard “Bud” Grier.

          She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Arnold Peters of Gainesville, daughter, Patricia Sullens Martin of Alto, son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Joyce Grier of Lula, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, brothers, James King of Alto, Ray King of Wisconsin, and Hoyt King of Macon.
