Roy Keels

Mr. Roy Keels, age 78, of Flowery Branch passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. B.H. Bailey will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday January 2, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Keels was born September 14, 1938 to the late Herbert & Marie Keels in Madison, South Carolina.  He was retired from W.M. Wrigley’s, where he had been a Machine Operator and of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Keels is survived by his wife of 61 years, Glendora Keels of Flowery Branch; son & daughter-in-law, Glenn & Stephanie Keels of Murrayville; daughter, Elaine Keels of Flowery Branch; 5 grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, James & Frankie Osborne of Flowery Branch; brothers, Paul Osborne of Gainesville; sisters-in-law, Janice & Anthony Robinson of Flowery Branch, Bertha Keels of Flowery Branch, and Ruby Neil Keels of Gainesville; God-children, Kevin Ware of Brookhaven and Shavonda Summeour of Gainesville; and several nieces & nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Priscilla Ann Keels; brothers, Howard Keels, Hubert Keels, and Bobby Keels; and sisters, Nellie Stringer, Nora Stringer and Martha Stringer.
