Allene Kerns Ivey

Mrs. Allene Kerns Ivey, 93, of Gainesville passed away on December 24, 2016 at Bell Minor Nursing Home.
 
Mrs. Ivey was a lifelong resident of Hall County, Born on July 1, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Kerns and Bessie Ellis Kerns. She was retired from Wofford’s Leather Comp. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Pleasant Hill for many years.
 
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday December 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Clint Kerns will officiate. Interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
 
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ivey is preceded in death by her husband, Minor Ivey and son, Wesley Lamar Ivey.
 
Mrs. Ivey is survived by her daughter, Barbara Brown of Gainesville; son, and daughter in law, Garry and Sherry Ivey of Dawsonville; daughter in law, Nancy Ivey of Jackson, TN;  grandchildren, Lorrie, Ali and Anna; great granddaughter, Alex; great grandson, Ty Smith; great-great grandson, Case, and a number of nieces and nephews.
