Emmitt Abner Buffington

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Lebanon United Methodist Church for Emmitt Abner Buffington, age 89 of Gillsville. The Rev. Marshall Dale will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Buffington passed away Sunday December 25, 2016.

Mr. Buffington was born in Hall County to the late Leander and Lorene Buffington. He was a farmer and a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Randall Buffington.

Survivors include wife, Cecil Buffington, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tonita Buffington, grandchildren, Chrisondra and Billy Ransom, Whitney and Will Chapman, great grandchildren, Haylee Ransom, Mason Ransom, Skylar Chapman, and Emmitt Chapman all of Gillsville.
