James Allen III

James Allen, III, age 55, of Cumming passed away Friday, December 23, 2016.  Jimmy worked for several years in the family business, Allen's Home Furnishings, and was a truck driver for almost 18 years with Watkins/FedEx.  He then started his own business, Allen’s Delivery Service.  Jimmy was a great father, husband, son and friend.  He loved Lake Lanier and enjoyed fishing, bonfires and the outdoors.  With Jimmy around, there was never a dull moment.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Allen; children, James (Crystal) Allen, IV, Kyle Allen, Samuel Allen, Jonathan Sims, Jessica McClure, Justin McClure, Jason (Brittany) McClure; father, James (Sue) Allen, Jr.; grandchildren, Alexis Allen, Kaiman McClure and Madisen Sims; brothers, Jack (Aleta) Allen, Thomas Mitchell; several nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 26, at 4:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Blackstock officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
