Thomas E. Alexander

Thomas E. Alexander (Tom) age 92 of Fort Walton Beach, FL formerly of Mt. Airy passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 19, 2016. Over the last few months Tom was comforted by his family and friends, taking a blissful stroll down memory lane and reflecting on all that is good in this world. Many have shared their amazing stories of how he was a strong man who lived life by his faith in God, the golden rule, always with love, respect, integrity, and has left his footprint as our mentor.

Tom Alexander is survived by; son Gary and wife Jeanine Alexander, daughter Elizabeth Masseth and granddaughters Cora Vollmar and Stephanie Masseth, and son Ricky Alexander and his daughters Nicole and husband Johnny Reynolds and Leah Gayle, and grandsons Thomas Jakob, and John Kaleb. Tom is also survived by three great grandchildren; Justin Vollmar, Dalton Vollmar, and Devontae Alexander. Tom is also survived by his loving sister Elizabeth Loudermilk of Mt. Airy and a multitude of special nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Buffington Family Burying Grounds at Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery in Lula, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers memorial funds can be donated to a charity of your choice, or you may also make a memorial contribution in memory of Tom to the Buffington Family Burying Grounds at Whitehall Baptist Church. Checks should be made payable to Tracy Brown, 3295 Joe Chandler Road, Gainesville, GA 30507.

Tom was truly one of a kind and to all those who’ve had the chance to know him are honored, grateful, and blessed.
