Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 21, 2016 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Gladys Humphries McQueen age 106 of Gainesville. The Rev. Kevin Holman, Rev. Philip McQueen and Rev. Ricky McQueen will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. McQueen passed away Monday December 19, 2016.
Mrs. McQueen was born the oldest of 12 children on September 10, 1910 in White County to the late Aaron Humphries and Maude Crowe Humphries. She retired from Zeeman Manufacturing and was a member of Eastview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius McQueen, daughter-in-law, Vera Wade McQueen, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Earl Holman, Murrayville, sons and daughters-in-law, Nathaniel and Lillian McQueen, Flowery Branch, Randall “Bud” McQueen, Gainesville, Haskell and Marie McQueen, Flowery Branch, brother and sister-in-law, Rev. John and Zelma Humphries, sisters-in-law, Wilma Humphries, Beatrice Humphries, grandchildren and spouses, Dianne Grizzle, Ricky and Brenda McQueen, Lynn and Tim McNeal, Mike and Joy McQueen, Philip and Susan McQueen, Keith and Jill Holman, Kevin and Susan Holman, 14 great grandkids and 10 great great grandkids.
