Robert J. “Rob” Williams, age 49, of Sugar Hill, Ga., died suddenly on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4833 Suwanee Dam Rd. in Suwanee, Ga. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Rob is survived by his wife, Cindy Chapman Williams, Sugar Hill; daughter, Alexandra Marie Williams, Atlanta; son, Zachary Robert Williams, Sugar Hill; parents, Rick and Reita Williams, Gulf Shores, Ala.; sister, Rhonda (Kevin) Bushman, Vineland, NJ; brother, Roger Williams, Dearborn, Mich. Rob was born in Garden City, Mich., and grew up in the Dearborn area, graduating from Edsel Ford High School before serving a two-year mission for his church to South Korea. He married his wife, Cindy, in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 30, 1991. After working several years in IT with La-Z-Boy, Inc., in Monroe, Mich., Rob took a job with a software firm that brought him and his family moved to Atlanta 17 years ago and quickly made it their home. Rob’s greatest joys were his two children and time spent with family. He spent many weekends camping out with his son and also serving in disaster relief efforts with his church.
