Deborah Elaine Harkins

Deborah “Debo” Elaine Harkins, 59, of Gainesville, GA passed away on December 16, 2016 following an extended illness.

Born in Monroe Georgia on May 16, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Travis Emerick and of Thelma Joe Kirk Emerick. Mrs. Harkins was employed by Scientific-Games in Alpharetta where she worked in quality control. She attended Walton County Schools.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Danny Jones and Reverend Corbin Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6-8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Harkins is survived by her husband, Bennie Harkins, Jr.; daughters, Sherry &   (Abraham) Jameson, Monroe GA, Michelle & (Dewayne) Beasley, Gainesville GA;

Sons, Michael & (Sheri) Harkins, Gainesville GA, Mitch & (Susan) Harkins, Gainesville GA; 14 Grandkids:  Britne Jackson, Briana Morris, Colton Smith, Corbin Smith, Nick Beasley, Somer Childress, Autumn Beasley, Christian Beasley, Madison Harkins, Matthew Harkins, Madelyn Harkins, Ben Harkins, Jonathan Harkins, Houston Harkins; 4 Great Grandkids:  Landon Jameson, Jaxon Morris, Violet Smith, Brayden Childress; mother, Thelma Jo Emerick; brother, Ricky  & (Mary) Emerick, Monroe GA, brothers in law and sisters in law, Larry and Nancy Harkins, Ronnie and Margaret Harkins, Freddie and Mary-Jane Harkins, David and Sandy Harkins, Phillip and Shelia Harkins, a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
