Ella Jean Young Stowe

Obituary Date: Friday, December 16, 2016

   Mrs. Ella Jean Young Stowe, age 82 of Gillsville, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Free Chapel Worship Center with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Jentezen Franklin and Reverend Craig Jones will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 4 – 7 pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Stowe was born July 27, 1934 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Reverend Johnny William Young and Gertrude Beck Young.  She was a homemaker and a member of Free Chapel Worship Center.  Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Larry Young and her sister, Betty Appling. 

            Mrs. Stowe is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Stowe of Gillsville, daughters & sons-in-law, Teresa Jean & Reverend Dwayne Wellborn of Clermont and Tonya & Drew Rogers of Gainesville, son, William “Chip” Stowe, III of Gillsville, grandchildren, Danielle Wellborn, Dustin & Alyson Wellborn, Daniel & Madison Wellborn, William Arthur, IV & Daniella Stowe, Victoria Rogers, Abigail Rogers, Alexandra Rogers, Rachel Rogers, and Jeremy Rogers, great-grandchild, Adelyn Wellborn, sister & brother-in-law, Margaret & Gene Jones of Cleveland, sister, Pat McGiboney of Stone Mountain and sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Beverly & Raymond Ivie of Villa Ricca.
