Nelda Jo Allen

Nelda Jo Allen, age 66 of Dawsonville, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.  Nelda adored her children and grandchildren and was the best mother and grandmother on the planet. She had a green thumb and grew the prettiest flower gardens around. Nelda could be seen sitting on her front porch, drinking her Coca Cola classics, admiring her beautiful yard. She loved her sweet Jesus and taught her children to believe in him and to rely on him. She was always there for anyone in need. Nelda is preceded in death by her parents, Linnie and John McGuire and her brother, Bill McGuire.

Nelda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kelly Allen; children, Tammy McGuirt, David Allen, Greg Allen; grandchildren, Lauren McGuirt, Matthew McGuirt, Emma McGuirt, Cynda Allen and Gage Allen; brothers, Ed, Ronnie, Terry and Jimmy McGuire and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m.
