Wesley A. Mooney

Mr. Wesley A. Mooney, 83, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on December 14, 2016 due to an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend David Matthews will officiate.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday December 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Mooney was born in Gainesville, GA., on April 3, 1933, the son of the late Idell Bryant Mooney.  He was retired from Big Star where he worked in Management.  Mr. Mooney was Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Mr. Mooney is survived by his wife, June Mooney of Gainesville; 2 children, Scarlett and Wesley; brother, James Mooney and a number of nieces and nephews.
