James Al “Bud” Lee, Jr., age 41 of Demorest, passed away December 14, 2016 at Habersham County Medical Center.
Born in Augusta, Georgia on January 12, 1975, he was a son of James Al Lee, Sr. of Demorest and Betty Jean Johnson Gorr of Cornelia. He enjoyed being outdoors and listening to music, especially gospel and country. Bud was known for his affection by his hugs and kisses. He also loved “popping” knuckles with friends and family. He found such comfort and joy in his “Cat Dog” stuffed animals.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents James Vernon Lee, Euna Dell Lee, and Evelyn Moxley Inabinet.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his step mother, Pam Wood of Demorest; step father, Russ Gorr of Cornelia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Babs & Vermont Labrador of Johns Creek and DeAnna & Wayne Hicks of Mt. Airy; brother & sister-in-law, Brett & Lucy Ratliff of Greenville, SC; nieces, Kinslee Hicks and Brooklyn Hicks both of Mt. Airy and Sophia Ratliff of Greenville, SC; nephews, Jordan Hicks and Braxton Hicks both of Mt. Airy; grandfather, Jud Inabinet of Warrenville, SC; special friends and caregivers; Chelsea Franklin, Donna Franklin, Carol Kacker, Amy Pelles and Connie Brock.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth McEntire and Mr. Zack Anderson Lee officiating. Entombment will follow Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour on Saturday.
