Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Zachary Paul Ashe, age 27 of Greer, SC, formerly of Cleveland. Zachary passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 following injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. Zachary was born in Habersham County on June 23, 1989 and lived several years in Cleveland, before moving to South Carolina. He was employed with the LKQ Company as a route driver and sales rep and was of the Baptist faith. Zachary will be remembered as a young man who loved life, he especially loved his skateboard and anything mechanical was also known for his loved of the outdoors, which for him was not limited to hunting and fishing, but also gardening and camping. Zachary is preceded in death by his grandfather, Harry Paul Pontiere Jr. and grandmother, Marlene Ashe.
Survivors include his mother, Kim Pontiere, Myrtle Beach, SC; father, Davis Ashe (Beverly) of Dahlonega; sisters, Chanel Pontiere and Amanda Lee Ashe both of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephew, Preston Pontiere, nieces Jayla Neveah Thomas and Jayden Skye Ashe; grandmother, Bonnie Shirley Pontiere of Greer, SC and grandfather, Paul Ashe Jr. of Lincoln City, OR as well as his aunt and uncle Aaron Ashe (Sharane) of Houshton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Friday, December 16, 20916 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeff Groves officiating. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
