Gene Dillard

Mr. Gene Dillard, 70, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on December 12, 2016 due to an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Chris Anderson and Reverend Adam Reynolds will officiate.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday December 15, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Gainesville, GA., on May 6, 1946. He was retired from A&P Foods but was a cattle farmer for many years.  Mr. Dillard was an Army Veteran and was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church.

Mr. Dillard is preceded in death by his father, William Alfred Dillard; mother, Ruby Ferguson Dillard and son, David Dillard.

Mr. Dillard is survived by his daughter and son in law, Jennifer Reynolds (Adam) of Gainesville; granddaughter and husband, Samantha Roper (Eric) of Fort Drum, NY; grandsons, Josiah Reynolds and Levi Reynolds both of Gainesville; great grandsons, Elijah Roper, Clayton Roper, John Walter Roper; sister, Sandra Waggoner of Iowa; sister and brother in law, Becky Shuler (Junior); sister, Pam Barton of Lula; special friend, Martha Willis of Gainesville.
