Ruby Dooley Davis

Mrs. Ruby Dooley Davis, age 77 of Surfside Beach, South Carolina passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her home.

A daughter of the late Charles Richard Dooley, Sr. and Pauline Stroud Dooley, she was born August 16, 1939 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived in Greenville, South Carolina for a number of years, most of her life in Toccoa and the last 13 years in Surfside Beach.  She was a retired Insurance Agent with United Family Life.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan and Jon West of Toccoa and Sharon and Steve Spence of Greenville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Whitney and Peyton West and Taylor and Thomas Spence; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mavis Dooley and Jack Dooley both of Toccoa, Charles R. Dooley, Jr. of Oxnard, California, David Dooley and Mike and Shirley Dooley both of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy Sayer of Anderson, South Carolina, Linda Griffin and Judy and Russell Canady both of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, Ann and Jim Hollobaugh of Gainesville, Georgia and June and Jerry Ray of Greenville, South Carolina.

Memorial services will be Saturday, December 17, 2016, 11 O’clock AM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. John Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 AM until the service time.
