Betty Fannie Benton

Mrs. Betty Fannie Benton, age 82, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton, with her family. 

The family will hold a private Memorial Service.

Mrs. Benton was born January 12, 1934 to the late Leonard & Gwendolyn Tanner Bashaw in Cheboygan, Michigan.  She was retired from General Electric, where she worked in the Purchasing Department.  Mrs. Benton was of the Presbyterian Faith and a member of Odd Fellows and Rebecca’s.

Mrs. Benton is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Brenda& Kenneth Maute of Flowery Branch and Debbie & Steve Miller of Bakersfield, California; step-daughter, Patty Hunter of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Lisa, Crystal, Jocelyn and Hilaree; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; brother & sister-in-law, Bob & Patricia Bashaw of Auburn, Michigan; sisters, Joyce Dant of Knoxville, Tennessee and Mary Jane Elliott of West Branch, Michigan; and several nieces & nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Zane Irving Benton; and brothers, Jim Bashaw and Frank Bashaw.
