William Davie Jones

Mr. William Davie Jones, age 75, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, surrounded by family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Bill Compton will officiate.  The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones was born November 23, 1941 to the late James Carter & Daisey Lee Duckett Jones in Marble Hill and was of the Baptist Faith.  He was retired from Ford Motor Company, where he had worked for 33 ½ years in the Paint Department and enjoyed hunting, racing and spending time with his family.  Mr. Jones was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 ½ years, Frances JoAnn Jones; brother, Don Jones; and sisters, Betty Craft and Lynn Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Dave & Beth Jones of Gainesville and James & Jan Jones of Gainesville; daughters & sons-in-law, Mary & Chris Atkinson of Flowery Branch and Heather & Thomas McMichael of Maysville; grandchildren, Bryan & Ashley Jones, Craig& Cassie Jones; Brandi & Dennis Cagle, Jamie Jones; Lacey Bartlett, Dylan Bartlett, Hunter Atkinson, Amber  & Donavan Lyles, Jacob McMichael, Carlee McMichael; Sarah McMichael, and Molly McMichael; 5 great-grandchildren, Landon Cagle, Bryson Cagle, Bailey Jones, Aubrey Jones and Madison Jones; brother& sister-in-law, Ernest “Buddy” & Mildred Jones of Dawsonville; sister & brother-in-law, Shirley & Steve Pack of Jackson; and several nieces & nephews.
