Betty Hardy Freeman

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Betty Hardy Freeman, age 88 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Sunday, December 11, 2016.  Mrs. Freeman was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late John W. and Clyde Barber Hardy, was retired from Jackson County Department of Family and Children’s Services and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Freeman is preceded by a brother, Bobby F. Hardy.

Survivors include her husband of sixty - eight years, Bob Freeman of Jefferson, one son, Bobby Freeman of Athens.  One sister, Johnnie McElhannon Hancock of Jefferson.  One grandson, Robbie Freeman of Athens, two great grandchildren, Finley Jane Freeman and Rob Freeman and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, Georgia.  The family will receive friends at the graveside.
