Hazel Tow Winkler, age 89, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 9, 2016.
Mrs. Winkler was born to the late Jesse and Minnie McCarter Tow. She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Winkler was preceded in death by husband, Guy Winkler; daughter, Linda Ragan; brother, Russell Tow; and sisters, Edna Mae Jarrard and Barbara Dyer.
Survivors include daughter and son in law, Arlene and Homer Cantrell, Dahlonega; daughter, Marjorie Winkler, Dawsonville; daughters and sons in law, Jan and Lloyd Harben and Penny and John Kesting, all of Dawsonville; daughter, Robbie Turner, Cleveland; brother and sister in law, Junior and Virginia Tow, Cleveland; sister, Betty Watts, Cleveland; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, December 12, 2016 from Barrett Chapel. The Rev. Dexter Ferguson, Rev. Phillip Robinson, and Rev. Wilburn Ridings will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 PM Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the funeral home.
