Mrs. Barbara Manly Bryant, 82 of Murrayville died Thursday December 8, 2016 at Foothills Retirement Home in Dahlonega.
Born in Banks County, Barbara had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 63 years. Barbara was the wife of the late Rev. Dean Bryant, and the daughter of the late Vasco and Lovenia Barrett Manly. She was a graduate of Banks County High School and Perry Business School.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Bill Maxwell, Dahlonega; Denise and Gary Hosemann, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Kelly Bryant, Dahlonega; grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly and Doug Adams; Chase and Jennifer Cosgrove; William Maxwell; Tyler and Morgan Maxwell. Great Grandchildren; Maggie Adams, Millie Adams and Harper Cosgrove. Brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Evelyn Manly; Brother, Tommy Manly and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Manly and niece, Sharon Manly Walden.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday December 10, 2016 at Cavenders Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. The Rev. Les Fuller and Rev. Lance Fuller will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Adams officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 1-3 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Barbara's remains will lie in state at the church from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Foothills Retirement Home, 264 Myers Chance Road, Dahlonega, Ga. 30533 in memory of Barbara.
