Leon Arthur Powell

Mr. Leon Arthur Powell, age 70, of Commerce died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his residence.  Mr. Powell was born in Athens to the late, William Stewart and Mona Betty King Powell.  Mr. Powell was a retired educator and a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce.

Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Martha Wilbanks Powell of Commerce; sons, Colin Powell of Houston, TX and Kevin Powell of Atlanta, GA; sister, Susan Clack of Charleston, SC.

Graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 9^th at 11:00 AM from Grey Hill Cemetery with Rev. Shane Wilbanks officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 5-7 PM.
