Wanda Kay McDougald

Obituary Date: Wednesday, November 30, 2016

Ms. Wanda Kay McDougald, age 41 of Hall County, Georgia, passed away on November 30, 2016.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Alto, Georgia. The Rev. Shane Turner and Rev. Dayton Sosebee will be presiding and Gary Clark will be reading. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

 

Ms. McDougald was born January 29, 1975 in Hall County to Jack Swayne Turner and Bronez Jackson Turner. Ms. McDougald was a graduate of East Hall High School. She worked at Dundee Mills then devoted her life to being a stay at home mom caring for others. She had a great passion for disabled children, the elderly, and disabled people. Her compassion was taking care of everyone around her. She was always the first to step up and help in any situation, no matter what. That was Wanda; always the one to fix it. Her smile was unlike any other; it would lighte up the whole room. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hippy McDougald; sister, Jennifer Wilson; grandparents, Granddaddy and Granny Sosebee and Nannie and Papa Turner.

 

Mrs. McDougald is survived by her daughter, Kayla McDougald of Alto; Kaitlyn McDougald of Alto; son, Levi Bennett of Alto; father, Jackie Turner; mother, Bronez Jackson Turner of Alto; brothers and sisters-in-law, Milton and Kim Jackson of Gillsville, Todd and Rhonda Jackson of Nicholson, Milon and Betty Jackson of Carnesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Regina and Jeff Knight of Gillsville, Rhonda and Mark Baker of Sugar Hill, Amy and Jason Roberts of Commerce; sister, Jacqueline Fauscutt of Gainesville; sister, Janet Brown of Lula; brother, Jason Turner of Lula; grandchildren, Jayce McDougald, Jaxon Grizzle; numbers of nieces and nephews; many numbers of cousins; mother-in-law, Connie Broom; father and mother-in-law, Junior and Carmella McDougald; numerous McDougald brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law;  extended family, Danny, Zach, Danielle, Brenden, Kayleigh, Naomi Bennett.
