Barbara Ann Chester

Barbara Ann Chester, 65, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday November 24, 2016 at Emory University Hospital.

Barbara was born November 19, 1951.  She graduated from Forest Park High School and attended the University of Georgia where she was in the Redcoat Marching Band.  She transferred to Georgia State University where she earned her B.S. degree. She was formerly employed by the South Carolina Department of Social Services, worked in administration for St. David’s Episcopal School in Cheraw, SC, taught Special Education at Fairstreet Elementary School in Gainesville, worked as office manager with Chester Financial Planning and most recently at the Waypoint Center.

Surviving are her sons and daughter in law, Michael and Erin Webb, Rock Hill, SC, Matthew Webb, Arlington, VA, Joshua Chester, Durham, NC; parents, Junior and Thelma Chester, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Aiden Webb, Hudson Webb; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Saturday December 10, 2016 at 11 o’clock at Highlands United Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA.  Jeff Coleman, Christy Greenwald and Cindy McClendon will officiate.
