Lorraine Newman (Mama B) Bell, 90, of Clermont was called home to her Lord and Savior, and her husband on Thursday Dec. 1, 2016.
Born and raised in northern California, she moved to Georgia and attended Toccoa Falls College. In the 1940’s she began working at her uncle RG Le Tourneau’s plant in Toccoa, where she met her husband, J.P. “Cuz” Bell. They married in 1946 during a private ceremony on her uncle RG’s airplane. Mama B was a beloved mother and grandmother that believed in putting her family before herself. She and her husband loved to travel and made it to all 50 states in the U.S., along with many other countries around the world. Now their journey together begins again as they watch over their loved ones as guardian angels.
Mrs. Bell is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, J.P. “Cuz” Bell; her parents, Hurley Newman and Mattie Le Tourneau Newman; sister, Murial Brooking.
Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jena and Tim Savage, daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Andy Grigg; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Anita Bell; grandchildren, Joe and Krystal Talley, Austin and Kim Talley, Bryan and Jessica Bell, Russell Savage, Ryan and Andi Savage, Jessica Savage, Sarah Bell, Adam Bell, Ben Levin, Thad Levin, Henry Levin; great-grandchildren, Scott Talley, Wesley Talley, Cameron Savage, Carson Savage, Hudson Savage, Porter Savage, Nova Bell, Lorelai Bell, Tarin Talley, Autumn Bell, Gavin Bell, Kealey Bridges, Alyssa Bridges, Mason Bridges, Benjamin Grigg, Alex Grigg, Noah Davidson, Dallas Davidson, Leigh and Josh Evans. And many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Bell will be Saturday December 3, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Brian Funderburke will officiate.
Burial will take place in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Clermont.
