Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Tanner was a homemaker, hairdresser and a retired seamstress. Fannie was a devoted member of St. John Baptist Church. Where she joined at an early age. She served as a member of the Senior Choir until her illness.
Fannie was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Queen Ramsey, her husband John Lewis Tanner, two sisters: Louise Gaither and Janie Loggins; two brothers: Willie Ramsey and Willie Gaither and a dear friend Henrietta Mason.
Mrs. Tanner leaves to cherish her memories a very special companion Mr. John Hunter, two daughters: Ms. Queenie Tanner and Ms. Brandy Tanner; one son Mr. LaShawn Tanner; step-son Mr. Patrick Watkins, one brother Mr. George Ramsey, one sister Mrs. Laura Haynes Ramsey; one sister Mrs. Laura Haynes; six grandchildren: Brendon Ware, Shaquayla Tanner, Diondra Ellison, Qualyn Tanner,Taylor Singleton and Genesis Tanner; four great grandchildren: Noah, Joshua (Tice), Isabelle and Nathan Ware; special friend: Christie (Laine) Gillespie, and Joyce Woodard and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at St. John Baptist church at 2:30 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home between the hours of 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
