Dorothy Nell Whitmire

Ms. Dorothy Nell Whitmire, age 88, of Chicopee passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016.

       Memorial services are scheduled for Monday November 28, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Wayne Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday November 28, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

       Ms. Whitmire was born on August 28, 1928 in Gainesville, Ga to the late Dee Whitmire and Lois McGee Whitmire. She was of the Holiness Faith and Retired from AT&T. Ms. Whitmire is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Winifred Whitmire, Bobby Whitmire, and Clarence Whitmire and wife Kathryn all of Gainesville.

       Ms. Whitmire is survived Glenn Whitmire and wife Joyce of Flowery Branch, and sisters-in-law, Runette Whitmire (Mrs. Winifred) and Leoneve Whitmire (Mrs. Bobby) of Gainesville, and a loving, caring caregiver Marjorie Peavy of Gillsville, nieces and nephews, Dr. Ronald and Carol Whitmire of Gainesville, Ga, Betsy and Lee Thomas of Woodstock, Ga, Kathy Whitmire and Charlie Martin of Dacula, Ga, Teresa Whitmire of Gwinnett County and Chuck and Elaine Whitmire of Athens, Ga, Micky and Stanley Whitmire of Chicopee, Ga, Karen Sosebee of Gainesville, Ga, David and Kathy Whitmire, Chuck and Donna Whitmire, and Kim and Preston Bowen of Gainesville, Tim Whitmire of Flowery Branch, Ga.
