William Swain Worley

Funeral services for William Swain Worley, age 73, of Clarkesville will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wesley Purcell officiating. Interment will follow the service in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Worley passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Habersham County on July 27, 1943, Mr. Worley was the son of the late William Joshua "Jock" and Lois Welborn Whitworth Worley. Mr. Worley was a nurse at Northridge Medical Center and was a member at Unity Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Worley is preceded in death by brothers Garrison Worley, Arthur Worley, and C.T. Worley, sisters Elizabeth Whitworth, Doris Gragg, Gertrude Kinney, and brother in law Harold Gosnell.

Survivors include daughters Jennifer Worley of Clarkesville, Elizabeth Simmonds of Mesa, Arizona, brothers and sisters in law Morris and Glenda Worley of Clarkesville, sister Elmina Gosnell of Clarkesville, sister and brother in law Maxine and Danny Nicholson of Clarkesville, grandchildren Jordan, Jared, Jacob, Greg and Samantha, and great grandchildren Jayden, Joshua and Jackson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Friday, November 25th from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
