Rev. Gerald Rudolph Carnes, age 74, of Cleveland, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Gerald was born in Cumming, GA, in 1942, to the late George and Allison Carnes. He was a member and home preacher of Siloam Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. Rev. Carnes will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Hugh Carnes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Carnes of Cleveland, GA; children, Redina Ann Carnes of Dawsonville, GA, Pam (Rex) Heard of Dawsonville, GA, Timmy Carnes of Cleveland, GA, Rodney Carnes of Cleveland, GA, Billy (Carrie) Carnes of Cumming, GA, and Darlene Carnes of Cumming, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Gene (Annette) Carnes of Cumming, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Loyce (Cloyce) Hicks of Cumming, GA, and Barbara Reagin of Dahlonega, GA; granddaughter, Haley Ainsworth; grandsons, Jeff and Dustin Heard, and Josh, Tabor, Jess, Ethan, and Carson Carnes; along with many other loving friends and relatives.
Funeral Services for Mr. Carnes will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ruel Martin, Rev. Harold Bottoms, and Rev. Jack Biddy officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 25, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
