Barbara Ann (Paff) Weyenberg

Obituary Date: Tuesday, November 22, 2016

Barbara Ann (Paff) Weyenberg, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at her home, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on March 11, 1937, in Chippewa Falls, WI, and daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Irvine) Paff. She graduated from Neenah High School in 1955.

On January 2, 1956, she married Donald M. Weyenberg at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna, WI. The marriage was blessed with 60 years, four sons, and one daughter.

Don’s work with Kimberly Clark Corporation brought them to Corinth, MS, in 1983, and Roswell, GA, in 1989. In 1990, they built their home in Cumming, GA, where Barbara enjoyed entertaining friends and family.

Barbara cherished raising her family and attending her kids sporting events, and enjoyed seeing several of her grandchildren’s games as well. Throughout her life, she enjoyed volunteering, golfing, cooking, making crafts and her sugar cookies with family over the holidays, listening to music, and traveling. The yearly trips to Arizona when the kids were young, and summer trips to the quaint north woods back home in Wisconsin with her children and grandchildren, were some of hers and the family’s most special memories.

Always encouraging her family to live life to the fullest, as she did, Barbara will be deeply missed by her husband, Donald, children: Jeff (Sharon) Weyenberg, Dean (Merrie) Weyenberg, Dennis (Sindee) Weyenberg, Andrew (Jamie) Weyenberg, and Wendy (Todd) Simms. She was a loving “Grammy” to 12 grandchildren: Michelle Weyenberg, Dana (Erik) Mork, Matt Weyenberg, Josh (JoAnne) Simms, Zach Simms, Michael (Brittany) Weyenberg, Tyler Weyenberg, Katelyn Weyenberg, Chandler Weyenberg, Drew Weyenberg, Madison Weyenberg, and Jake Weyenberg. And dear “Grandma Great” to 3 great-grandchildren: Landon and Lincoln Mork, and Bryson Simms. She is further survived and will be missed by brothers Armin (Georgie) Paff and Doug Paff, brother-in-law Gerald (Kay) Weyenberg, and sisters-in-law Lucille (the late Melvin) Weyenberg, Pearl (Jerome) Van Eperen, and Elaine (the late John) Brown, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Melvin Weyenberg, Floyd Weyenberg, John Brown, and sisters-in-law Margaret Weyenberg and Mary Paff.

Visitation for Barbara will be held on Friday, November 25, from 12-2PM, with the Memorial Service to follow, at McDonald & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that you please donate to your charity of choice in her memory.

The family would especially like to thank the staff from Longleaf Hospice and the caregivers from A Hand to Hold for their loving care of Barbara, and the comfort they've provided the family during this difficult time.
