Susan Tamburino

Obituary Date: Monday, November 21, 2016
Susan LeJeune Tamburino, 62, Our beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on Monday, November 21, 2016. She entered this world on March 14, 1954 in Hialeah, FL, to Robert LeJeune and Mary Sumner.
 
She is survived by her son Joey Tamburino, daughter Stacy T. Cross, brothers David LeJeune and Tom May, sisters Jacque May, Kathy Foutch, and Valerie LeJeune, her grandchildren Meagan Tamburino, Bryson Tamburino, Austin Cross, and Landon Cross, nieces Sabrina Barr, Tonya Doughty, Dana Buntyn, Diane Schwickrath, and Brittany Pitts, nephew Michael Foutch.
 
Ms.Tamburino graduated from Titusville High School, in Florida. Susan was quite the entrepreneur, she wrote an amazing book about personal computers when they were first introduced to the world. She also had an accounting business for many years in Palm Harbor, FL. In the late 1980's, Ms. Tamburino and her family fell in love with the North Georgia Mountains and have had the pleasure of living there ever since. Susan was an avid gardener and loved showcasing her artistic talent in her beautiful oil paintings! She's owned and operated Gold n Gem Grubbin and Jewels of the Mine since the early 1990's. Ms. Tamburino was the type of person that would always help anyone in need, and had a special place in her heart for animals as well. That's why she was so passionate about her animal rescue "Save the Animals of Northeast Georgia" (SANG). She has saved hundreds of dogs' lives by nurturing and caring for them and also helping find their forever homes. She was not only an excellent mother, she was also an amazing grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend to many. She is loved by so many and truly will be missed by anyone who has ever known her.
 
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 4th, 2016 3:00 - 5:00 pm. at Alexander Funeral Home, 2721 Highway 129 South, Cleveland, GA 30528.
