Josie Segars Aderholdt

Mrs. Josie Segars Aderholdt, age 73 of North Akins Bridge Road, Eastanollee passed away Saturday November 19, 2016 at Young at Heart Personal Care Home.

A daughter of the late Jack L. and Lorene Ivester Segars, she was born April 6, 1943 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She was retired from Georgia Baptist Assembly, was a member of Broad River Baptist Church and a former primary Sunday School Teacher.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Aderholdt and by two brothers, Joe Dan and Roger Segars.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Earl Aderholdt; son and daughter-in-law, David and Brenda Aderholdt of Skopje, Macedonia; five grandchildren, Rachel Schmedt, Robin French, Heidi Storey, Jake Aderholdt and Helen Madea; five great-grandchildren; six brothers, Dallas Segars of Cleveland, TN, Allen Segars of York, SC, Charles Segars and Wayne Segars both of Toccoa, Bobby Segars of Carnesville and Adam Segars of Cornelia; four sisters, Edith Richards of Toccoa, Gloria Thompson of Eastanollee, Joy Garmon of Maysville and Frances Whitsell of Flowery Branch.

Graveside services will be Tuesday November 22, 2016 at 4 O’clock PM at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Dr. David Aderholdt officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tim Storey, Jake Aderholdt and Yun French.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Josie Segars Aderholdt.
