Ruth Samples Green

Ruth Samples Green, age 94, of Cumming, GA, passed away on November 19, 2016. She was born in Forsyth County on March 6, 1922, to the late Silvie and Mintie Pirkle Samples. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Chelsie Green; son, Kenneth Green: great grandson, Daniel Green; and five sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Betty (Frank) Heard, Freddie (Dianne) Green, Gail (Phil) Shewbert, and Helen Green; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; brother, Ivan (Betty) Samples of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Green will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Joey Heard, Rev. David Heard and Rev. Gary Duran officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November, 23, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
