Shannon Rockford Hood

Funeral services for Shannon Rockford Hood, age 57 of Lexington, SC will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Pastor Michael Wilkes, and Rev. Connie Berry will officiate with interment to follow the service in Demorest City Cemetery. 

Mr. Hood passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016.

Born in Habersham County on September 22, 1959, Mr. Hood was the son of Nellie Faye Bramlett Taylor and the late Johnny Elsworth Hood.  Of the Baptist Faith, Mr. Hood was a 32nd Degree Mason and a self employed painter.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time as well as other sports.  In addition to his father, Mr. Hood is preceded in death by sister Connie Marie Hood.

Survivors include mother and stepfather Nellie Faye B. and Doyle Taylor of Cleveland, son and daughter in law Shannon Brian and Michelle Hood of Lexington, SC, stepbrother Ricky Taylor (Becky) of Clarkesville as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 4-7 PM.
