Ivan Hoyt Martin

Ivan Hoyt Martin, age 84, of Cumming, GA, passed away on November 16, 2016. He was born in Forsyth County on January 22, 1932, to the late Oscar and Mary Emma Martin. Ivan was a poultry farmer and truck driver for most of his adult life. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Thelma Martin, and Ruby Dean Samples; and brother, Cecil Martin.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Carolyn Martin of Cumming, GA; special niece, Robin (Nick) Reynolds and her children, Sydney, Austin, Andy, and Mary Ella; nephew, David (Cindy) Martin and their children Dakota and Abby Martin; and several other nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to his dedicated caregivers Lisa Gooch and Sarah Greeson and the many loving care providers of Homestead Hospice.

Funeral services for Mr. Martin will be held Monday, November 21, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
