Mrs. Sarah Janie Hallford Morrow, age 89, of Talmadge Drive, Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Pruitt Health Care of Toccoa.
A daughter of the late George Amos and Arlie Phillips Hallford, she was born November 24, 1926 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life. She was retired from Coats and Clark with 45 years of service. She worked for Toccoa Nursing Center for seven years as a CNA and later did private sitting. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and active in the Ladies Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Stephens County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert James Morrow in 2015, two brothers, Jeff Hallford and Amos Hallford and by a grandson, Bobby Holderfield.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Shelia Morrow of Toccoa and Greg and Denise Morrow of Clarkesville; four grandchildren, Andrew Morrow, Alexis Bertoldo, Chelsea Vivas and Sherry O’Kelley; three great-grandchildren, Misty Cleveland, Brad York, and Will Holderfield; brother, James Hallford and Randi of Cornelia; and sister, Mary Yearwood of Toccoa
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Alvin Burns and Mr. Greg Morrow officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 PM until 8 PM and on Sunday from 1 PM until the service time. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kenny Yearwood, Danny Yearwood, Adam Womack, Randy Hallford, Andrew Morrow and Sam Morrow.
Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Church of God Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Sarah Hallford Morrow.
