Mr. Vernice Couch, age 95 of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016, following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Gainesville, with Reverend Mike Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Couch was born November 22, 1920, in Gwinnett County to William Ratcliff Couch and Sally Holland Couch. He was retired from Wrigley Manufacturing, and was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Couch was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 71 years, Evelyn Cantrell Couch.
Mr. Couch is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Doris Couch, Gainesville; Tim and Debbie Couch, Flowery Branch; granddaughter and husband, Robin and Tim Nix, Cleveland; grandson and wife, Cale and Tia Couch, Gainesville; great-granddaughter, Aslyn Couch, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Marvin Bruce, Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, Burlon and Blanche Couch, Toccoa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
