John Terrell “Snubbie” Griffin

Mr. John Terrell “Snubbie” Griffin, age 89 of 435 Mulkey Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his residence.

A son of the late John C. and Margaret Bowden Griffin, he was born December 11, 1926 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was a retired plumber and was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rastus and Hill Lee Griffin.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Opal Griffin and Ted and Eleanor Griffin both of Toccoa; two grandchildren, Brad Griffin and Allison Griffin and two great-grandchildren; sister, Mattie Lawson of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 12, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Marvin Brown officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Brendan Collier and Jacob Lawson.

The family will be at the home on Mulkey Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 PM until 8 PM.  Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. John Terrell “Snubbie” Griffin.
