Mr. Earl Max Hartbarger, age 83 of 372 Roselane, Toccoa passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at his residence.
A son of the late Clyde and Sarah Hales Hartbarger, he was born May 19, 1933 in Dasey, Tennessee, having lived most of his life in Whitehouse, Ohio and the last 13 years in Toccoa. He was retired in retail sales, a member of Tom’s Creek Baptist Church and the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. He was member of the Masonic Lodge #309 with 58 years of service, a Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Hartbarger, sister, Carol Whalen and by a grandson, Todd Poland.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Libby Moore Hartbarger; daughter, Pamela Hartbarger of Toccoa; great-grandson, Andrew Poland; sister, Virginia Arnold of Dayton, Tennessee; a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 11, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Wayne Marcus officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bobby Watkins, Richard Llewellyn, Rodney Moore, Chuck Wright, Jeff Bowen and Chris Stephens.
The family will be at the home on Roselane and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 PM until 8 PM. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.
