Harold Jackson Latimer III, also known as “Boo” passed away on November 4, 2016. Born in Gainesville, Georgia on October 29th, 1974 Mr. Latimer was a wonderful and entertaining son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many. A graduate of Gainesville High School in 1992.

A renowned interior decorator and designer, Jackson was widely known for conducting estate sells and how he could buy something no one would bat an eye at in a thrift store; only to resell it at one of his booths for hundreds! He bought and sold antiques in the Atlanta area for 20+ years. Jackson had an uncanny ability for turning houses into homes with his lighting skills and creating an ambiance that only he was capable of. Jackson’s eccentric personality and zeal for living will leave a huge void in the lives of those who loved him.
Jackson was always a fighter. He survived Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer three times starting at age 26. Through all treatments, including a bone marrow transplant, he stayed persistent, not only beating the cancer but insisted on looking good throughout the whole process. He never gave up and never gave in.
Jackson will be loved and missed by all his family and friends. Survivors include, mother, Kathy Buffington, brother, Joshua Latimer, sister, Jessica Latimer, nieces and nephews, Kamen Latimer, Brooklyn Latimer, Austin Latimer and Tyler Harris, step father, Steve Dunfee, step- brother and step-sister, Kris Dunfee and Sissy Dunfee, grandmother, Buell Martin Buffington, maternal aunts, Beverly Buffington and her daughter and grandson, Lindsey Elrod and Lincoln. Christy and Jim Skinner and their sons, Mark, April and Thomas, Anita Buffington, Reggie Buffington and Kelly Kline, her children Draven and Kori, paternal aunts, Haroleta Latimer Campbell, Dodie and Stan Gillespie, Jena “Jenny” and Ronald Wilson and Sharon “Chubby” and Denver Tritt. With countless cousins and other relatives. His lifelong friend and brother from another mother, James Barr. And his father, Harold Jackson Latimer Jr. “Jack” and his wife Mary.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Obourn Lonnie Buffington and Harold Latimer Sr. and grandmother, Dorothy “Dot” Latimer.
The family would like to express special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Heidi Nicholson and Dr. Richard LoCicero for their wonderful care and compassion.
